Faster than an F1 car!!

It seems Porsche race engineers have been a little bit bored as of late. Since the announcement that the LMP1 team would be pulled out of the WEC they've been sat around twiddling there thumbs and staring at the fleet of 919 Hybrid Le Man cars in the workshop. So it was only bound to be a matter of time before one of them picked up a spanner started modifying one the cars.

The result is the 919 Hybrid Evo, freed from regulation the tiny V4 engine now throws out 720bhp and the hybrid system now offers up 440bhp that equates to a combined 1160bhp in a car that now weighs just 849kg.

The modifications are more than power and lightness, the car now produces more downforce thanks to a bigger front splitter, huge rear wing and ground effect side skirts.

Porsche was keen to show just how fast their 919 Hybrid Evo can go so they took it to a little know race track called Spa Francorchamps, strapped in tame racing driver Neel Jani and sent him out for a lap or two.

He managed to get the car round in a staggering 1:41.770 which is seven tenths faster than Lewis Hamilton's polo lap from 2017. Jani averaged 153mph and topped out at 223mph

An addition of the track is observed for the signatures for the field. A sequence is fit for the shops. The stature is fit for the approval of the matchless items for humans.
